University Website Project

My Angular project for a fictional university, Pildammsparkens Universitet, gave me the perfect opportunity to compare using frameworks instead of doing all the coding myself (Like on my Pizzeria project). This project combined creativity, functionality, and my growing knowledge of Angular and TypeScript, and I’m really proud of how it turned out.
The Idea
The goal was to create a platform where students could browse courses and even build their own schedule (or “ramschema” in Swedish). Drawing inspiration from real university websites, I wanted the design to feel modern, clean, and easy to navigate. Beyond just a course list, the app would include features for sorting, filtering, and organizing courses into a personal schedule.
Bringing the Vision to Life
Design played a huge role in this project. I wanted the site to feel welcoming and functional, ensuring it worked seamlessly on both desktop and mobile devices. Features like sorting by course code or filtering by subject helped users find courses quickly. Creating a personal schedule was as simple as clicking to add or remove courses, with everything saved automatically for later visits.
The Result
The final app is hosted here. It showcases all available courses and allows users to create their own schedules. It’s intuitive, visually appealing, and—most importantly—functional. Plus, it earned me a high grade, which was the cherry on top!
Final Thoughts
This project was a fantastic learning experience, combining technical challenges with creative freedom. Using Angular as opposed to writing all the code myself almost felt like cheating! I’m incredibly proud of the result, and it’s definitely one of the highlights of my portfolio. If you’re curious, feel free to explore the site and let me know your thoughts!
